Missing Blogging

It is been a few weeks since I have blogged, but I promise it has not been forgotten. Our little family decided to run around all over the state visiting friends and family. We spent a week at my in-laws that was lovely and far too short. Then Joli and I headed back to my old town for my best friend's baby shower. We had a great time, but unfortunately I was hardly ever able to get my camera out fast enough before Joli would run off to get into something else in yet another non-childproofed house.

This picture was actually taken before we left at the car dealership. One of those last minute oil changes that needed to be done before I put another couple thousand miles on my car. Joli had a great time, once again being a little monkey!

Salt and Sand

Since my sister and my BIL were here this weekend, we decided it would be fun to spend some time on the beach. Joli actually had a pretty good time this time. She started out with a lot of people watching.

I wasn't going to put this one in but her eyelashes just looked so pretty and long.
I'm not sure what was going on. I think maybe Joli was testing the waters. This was after a big wave came up and swept her off her feet.
We had a little trouble convincing her that the water was okay after that. This was our little camp.
Joli was fine as long as her Auntie was standing there with her. She was not happy when Auntie went in to boogie board!
So she ran up to the blanket again to pose for a picture.
Then roll around a bit, and make sure she really got that sand in there.
Then Auntie came back and Joli made her hold her. She was really very spoiled with her Auntie and Uncle around.
Then Brianna went out to boogie board again.
The boys spent the entire time boogie boarding and body surfing. They seemed to have a great time. I stood on the beach and watched as two dolphins swam right by them. I guess they do that a lot according to Joe.

Bathrooms and Living Room!

So my BIL Sam is here this weekend, and since he's such an amazing worker, we now have bathroom lights! (Yay, no peeing in the dark anymore!) Which also means that I can take pictures of the bathrooms. So this is Joli's bathroom!
The turtles on the shelf used to be decorations around Henry the Turtle, but since he's visiting my mom right now, they look good in the bathroom.
Joli loves the dutties, ribbies, tutles!! She cracks me up!
Oh and look, we have couches now!!! It's amazing!!!
They look really good too! I'm very happy! The love seat folds out into a twim bed!

This is one wall in our bedroom that I finally finished.
This is the other wall. It turned out so pretty!
Now this is my bathroom! This was the exact color of green I was going for, but I've started to like it, and I really don't want to have to repaint!

See my cool basket I got at Summers Past!!

Now we have a magazine rack, yay!
This ended up being the perfect place for that picture, and it's so pretty!
My house is pretty much complete!!

Babies and Blankies

So I've uploaded this picture twice and it keeps coming up sideways. It's so cute though. Joli has discovered the baby doll that I'm going to take to Jessica's baby shower and is loves it now. They are playing patty cake in this picture!
This is Joli's old infant seat, and the baby dolls new place to be rocked!
Here's Joli dancing with the baby. I tried to get a picture of her when she was kissing the baby, but she was too quick!

Then we started talking about the rocking chair and Joli thought she should rock the baby in the chair too.
So since we have no dryer, we truely are hanging out all our laundry. Today I realized that there is a slight problem with this plan. It takes much longer to dry things, especially heavy things like a blanky. Joli was very unhappy that her blanky was hanging outside, even when she discovered it was totally wet she was still upset that I wouldn't get it down. After about 20 minutes and crying and trying to convince her that it was okay for blanky I tried to talk her into going inside. At first she thought it was a good idea, until she realized blanky had to stay outside. Then she wandered back to it and cried some more. I ended up having to rock her to sleep for her nap because she was just too unhappy without her blanky. Poor Baby!

New Advances

This is the pool that I bought last week and took back this week. It was nice and big, but it was so big that Joli couldn't get in and out of it. Not only that but it was incredibly difficult to put up. So I took it back and Joe is going to get Joli one of those hard plastic ones that I don't have to worry about collapsing.
This is the alcove in our hallway. My mom had this extra medicine cabinet so I hung in up in there, and now it proudly displays my Belle collection.
This is the other side.
These are the two little dressers that I painted and also put in the alcove. It's worked perfectly for Joli's CD player and books.
This is the shelf I put up in Joli's bedroom. The angel and cradle I have had since I was a little girl.
Joli doesn't have an overhead light or a light switch in her bedroom, but I love this light switch cover. Oh well!
These are pretty and fragile, therefore on a very high shelf.

This is our makeshift living room. We don't have couches because Joe has not had a truck to go get them. He swears it will happen this week, so lets hope so.

This is our entryway.
This is where I have set up Joli's table area. She has puzzles, potato head, little animals, and crayons on her shelves to be used at her table. We also finally have a place to display the beautiful quilt Joe's mom made for us!
Tomorrow I'm working on my bedrom and will hopefully have more pictures!

Update

Well I don't have a whole ton of pictures because we've been so busy, but I'll show off what I have. This is what Joli spent most of the week doing. I felt kind of bad, but I had to get things done. The tv is actually in the cabinet now and all her toys are here and in her room so I haven't been letting her watch that much anymore, but Joe bought her the Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh and all I hear about now is "fooh". This is my "I don't have a plug for my dryer, only a gas hook-up" clothes line. It worked really good though. It was actually completely full right before I took this picture but I got so focused I forgot the take the picture first. I did over 10 loads of laundry yesterday. That's what happens when you're moving and don't do laundry for two weeks!
This is some pictures of Joli's room. Still not complete, but on it's way. I have since put up a white shelf with some collectables from my childhood about the changing table.

This area will complete once we finish cleaning the other house and bring back the bins of toys that are there for Joli to play with while we clean.
I will have many more pictures soon as most everything is done. But the bathrooms don't have like fixtures so I want to wait for those, and there are still no couches in my living room, so I will take a picture as soon as that happens as well. Our bedroom still has a few more pictures that need hung, and the office will not be done for a while. As we did not have an office before we will be buying furniture for it this fall and then I will be putting up pictures. For now, the computer is on an end table and there are boxes all on one half of the room. We'll get there eventually though!
