Relax

Joli and I have tried our best to stay home and just relax this this weekend. Her little cold had me quite a bit freaked out and I'm happy to say she's seems to be much better. She drew this wonderful picture of me.
Yesterday she watched t.v. most of the day, but at least she was up playing while she did it.
Today she seemed to be doing even better so I decided to take her out to Summers Past to play with some friends and get some fresh air. She told me "I love it here, I don't ever want to leave". I was just so happy to see her happy!

After we left Summers Past we went to Ikea to buy Joli's new bed. Since the box was rather heavy, I ended up bringing in just a few pieces at a time. Turns out I just bought he perfect thing to help!
After about four hours of wrestling with the bed I finally got it together! Joli was so excited, she spent the last hour asking me if it was done yet ever couple minutes.

Now she's totally passed out and just loving it!!

Borrowed Shots

Laume got all her pictures from this week uploaded last night so I borrowed a few of Joli. Joli just loves her cousin!

I bought this hat when I first found out I was pregnant because you hardly ever see anything like it for girls, but since we're now having a little boy it's perfect for Berkley. Looks just how I envisioned it on a tiny baby head!
Here are more shots from lunch. You can see how Joli just wasn't herself.

It was nice to cuddle with Papa though.

The Las Few Days

Wednesday night Sam and Ashley finally got to bring little Berkley home! We did our best to make it welcoming.
Joli was a huge helper as always. She felt extra special being able to do something for the baby.
Joli was so excited to see Berkley! Of course she immediately wanted to hold her but that might have been a tad overwhelming for the little one, so Joli settled for just rubbing her head and talking to her.
It was very important to Joli that she get the baby a present for when she got home. We looked through most of the toys at Target but she insisted that this little doll was exactly what Berkley needed.
On Thursday Papa and William came over and Berkley went on her first outing out to lunch with every one. Joli wasn't feeling too good, but she was happy to have Papa hold her.
I made Ashley and I baby wraps last week, and Ashley was so excited to try it out! She especially liked that she could have Berkley close to her without having to worry about people getting too close.
After we finished lunch I got every one loaded into the car. Brody was excited to be going for a ride.
Most of the time we were visiting, Joli was laying on the couch watching movies. Unfortunately she came down with a cold just after we got there and was pretty much miserable. So I decided that she would probably feel much better being home in her own bed, and we began the trip back. What do you do when your little girl has barely smiled in days? Buy her a giant pink ducky of course!!
Today was pretty much awful for all of us. We had stopped to get some sleep last night in hopes that today we could just get up and finish out the rest of the drive and still have some of the day to relax at home. Unfortunately the traffic was just horrendous and we ended spending an extra five hours in the car!!! Luckily Joli was perfectly happy watching movies.
Now we're finally home and have some things put away. Joli is sleeping next to me in bed and I'm about close my eyes too!

Berkley Jae

I got to visit with the new family again this morning and came out with lots of new pictures, oh and she has a name!!
Proud Auntie Christa!

View from the room.
She had her eyes open for me a lot! So sweet!
Big yawn

Another proud Auntie!

Hopefully they will all get to come home tonight and Joli will finally get to meet her new cousin. She's had to stay in waiting room each time we've gone so she's just dying to see the new baby!

My New Niece!!

After sixteen hours of labor for Ashley (completely naturally I might add!), and eleven hours of driving with only short potty breaks (poor Joli), I finally got to see my new little niece!
She doesn't have a name yet. Mom and Dad were going to discuss it after every one left last night. And even though the little girl was almost two weeks early she weighed eight pounds and two ounces!!

Since I was the last visitor of the night, you can see that they were all pretty tired!

More Nesting

I know I still have ridiculous amounts of time until this new baby arrives but I can't help but get things ready. So in addition to all the baby gear we've got, I've also been washing clothes. I thought this picture of baby boy's socks with Joe's was just adorable!
I've also finished making his blankie. Joli has a purple blankie that we got for at one of our baby showers that has always been her blankie, so she went to the fabric store with me and helped me pick out soft fabrics that she thought Baby would like. Then I made them into a blankie just like hers.

Here are some of the different textures Joli picked out. It's such a soft cozy blanket!
