Discovery

Today was sort of a down day, so I decided I should take Markus to do something fun, just the two of us. I was hoping it would help with his attitude, and maybe help me to like him again, after the past week or so of him being quite a pain. The plan was to take the trolley downtown to the Children's Discover Museum. Anytime we go somewhere on the trolley, Markus is happy!

We were both super excited to go to the museum since we hadn't been before. There was so much to do!

For some reason there was a "library", that only had about ten books in it. Of course Markus wanted to climb up and put the books on the top shelf. To which one of the workers came over and said "The shelves really aren't for climbing on", to which I responded "You should really put some books on them, it might discourage my child, and all these other children from climbing on them!". Who knows, maybe they ran out of money in their budget for books, but it doesn't seem very realistic to have part of your children's museum set up with shelves that literally have stairs to climb up them, no books on them, and then expect the children not to climb them...

Eventually I convinced Markus to sit down and look at one of the books for a few minutes, before he realized that we have way more (and better) books at home, and we should go do something else.
"Look Mom!! I built a city!"

We made it to the top floor, where we discovered tons of gross motor activities, including a jumpie!!

 Bubbles are always my favorite!

This giant sink full of fruits and vegetables was super cool!

When we were just about to leave, we walked past a "kitchen", where there were all kinds of musical instruments made out of kitchen supplies! It was really cool!

He must get it from his sister...
Markus started to get hungry, so we went outside to eat lunch.
Then we went to play on all the outside stuff!
They had a super cute little garden with all kinds of fruits, vegetables, herbs, and flowers!

 Markus loved the blue flowers!

Then we went to play on the playground for a few minutes before it was time to get back on the trolley.

We had a great time, and snuggled on the trolley all the way home!
