Picnic at the Garden

I told Joli last weekend that I would take her to have a picnic in the garden. Since Joe didn't want to go we had to wait until today to go. The first thing she wanted to do was look at the fairy garden.
I was able to capture this visitor. He didn't like when Joli came over to see him, he was about as scared as the fairies.

Of course we must always take time to play in the sand.
After we ate some lunch on the patio, Joli wanted to go walk around the bridge.
She had to show me where the spiders live.
I tried to capture some pretty pictures in front of the door, but my subject didn't want to cooperate.
While we were there the owners were planting their pumpkin patch for fall. So we wandered the field and watched them a little.
Joli found a "wish". She said "I wish Daddy would take me fishing". She's been making the same wish for a year and a half. You'd think she'd give up by now.
I'm still not sure I like this statue, but Joli liked the "mushmellows".
One more fairy garden before we left.
Such a beautiful day for a trip to the garden.

Hide N Seek

Joli took a nap today which meant she was in an excellent mood this evening. It also meant that Joe had to be on top of his game. So they played hide n seek. This is one of Joli's better hiding spots.
Zeus pretty much gave Joe's hiding spots away every time. He would follow Joe and then sit in front of where he was hiding and stare at him.
Another great hiding spot. Most of the places she hid weren't that bad, it's just that she would only crawl halfway in them and then laugh hysterically until Joe found her.
Joli also wasn't that great and the counting part. She can count almost all the way to twenty but it took about eight times for us to get her to actually cover her eyes and not watch where Joe was hiding.
Can you see Joe?
The whole thing was actually very funny. Joe would say "Where's Joli" and she would laugh and say "I'm in here". Then he would say "I can't find you", and she would tell him where she was! She would also start laughing every time he said "Ready or not".

Happy Birthday Chris!!

Tonight we went to Chris and Kacie's to celebrate Chris' birthday. It was actually on Wednesday but since he just got home we celebrated today. Once again we brought Brody in an attempt to keep up on training both him and Baylie. They both did really well, especially with four kids and five adults!!
Lilly was the sweet silent one as usual. She pretty much keeps to herself, and I have to say that with all the chaos that happens, I don't blame her!
Charlotte was asleep when we got there so it took her a little while to become social again.
Then Chris opened his present from Abby, Syrus and Lilly. Joli and Syrus thought they were awesome...
Until someone got hit and then they weren't allowed to fight each other anymore.
By the time we were all headed home Chris was saying how he couldn't believe that we do this on a daily basis!! We know it's insane, but it's our life!

Exploring the Zoo

Today we had the opportunity to go into the Zoo before it opened and visit the Orangutan exhibit. The kids thought it was pretty cool to see the apes so close up.
After awhile we got tired of walking through the monkey trails and decided to sit and watch a show.
Joli is really into Macaws right now, and we were both happy to watch them fly throughout the stadium.
Joli loved watching all the animals. She was totally mesmerized!
One of the coolest parts was when they brought out the wolf. It was so pretty!!
Of course the show was all about the sea lions, and they were a lot of fun to watch.

It was a lot of fun, but so exhausting. Joli actually asked if she could rest on the couch when we got home!

St. Patty's Play

This afternoon Joli and I spent hanging out with Charlotte. Joli went straight for the babies as usual.
Charlotte didn't feel too great today but she still managed to have a great time. Look at her adorable little booda bathing suit!
The girls played in a bucket of water which was hours of fun!

Once the water got boring we moved on to the swing.
Once Kacie got home we took pictures of them in their St. Patrick's Day shirts!

Such a nice relaxing afternoon! For more pics check out Kacie's Blog!

Ballerina in the Pool

Joe was able to have a three day weekend this weekend and we had a wonderful time to having him around. Since we're not sure if Joe's going to be around for Joli's ballet recital, he's made an effort to come to her classes when he has the day off.
This afternoon it was so nice and beautiful out that Joli and I went for a walk and then came back to play in the pool.

After Joli had some time in the pool by herself we let Brody come out and play too.
It's so lovely out it almost feels like summer!
