Daddy and the Beach

Joe has been wonderful the past few days and had really been wanting to spend time with us. The night before last he took us out to dinner and Joli and I both had a great time!!
Joli thought it was so fun playing with Joe's thumbs! He kept pretending like he was taking it off and she totally didn't fall for it. She did however try to do the trick herself.

Then they started pretending to take noses.

They were so sweet playing together.
Yesterday we attempted to go to the beach and it was a little cooler than I would have liked. Joli didn't mind though.

She was a little bummed that no one was there to play with. She kept saying "No one else showed up", I don't think she accepted the fact that I wanted to go just the two of us!
Playing dinosaurs just isn't the same with Mommy I guess.

We decided to go for a walk on the beach so Joli could jump off things.

We actually ended up back at the beach that evening. Joe called and wanted to get frozen yogurt and walk on the beach so we met him and had a wonderful time walking on the beach after sunset!! I didn't bring the camera and it was kind of nice to hang out in the moment!

The Wall

I pretty much just wanted to show off this dress. I think it's so incredibly adorable!! It's the first thing I've every bought for her from the girls section!! I can't believe she can fit into that stuff!! It's so cute!!
They had a few different styles but I thought this one was the cutest!!

Coronado

Since Laume only had one more day in town we decided to do something fun. We were going to go to Summers Past but for some reason we had both forgot that it was Monday and they were closed. So we decided to head to Coronado and have some lunch and walk around. It took me a little while to get off the couch though.
Once I did we decided to dress up in some pretty summer dresses and put on some make up. Joli looked adorable next to all the pretty gardens.
I don't think I looked too bad. I felt enormous but love this dress!
My shoes were giving me blisters so I ditched them in the car and then had no excuse for Joli not to wear hers.
I just love this rose. It reminded me of a scoop of vanilla ice cream. So pretty.
We also got a nice passerby to take a picture of the three of us.
Before getting in the car we wanted to let the crazy child run some more energy out.

This was about the only moment that Joli had down time. I don't know where she's been getting her energy supply lately but I wish I could get some!

It was a beautiful day and a lovely weekend. We're all very sad to see our Grammi/Laume leave.

More Recital Pictures!

Now that I've finally had time to go through Laume's pictures, here is a better view of the recital. Joli and Autumn have been friends since they were little babies and were so cute together in ballet!
Joli was very entertaining in her dance. The kids were all so cute trying to remember what to do!
The tongue helps her with her balance apparently.
Joli and Autumn took some time to dance together.

Always the diva.

This was by far the most amusing part of the show. Joli stopped in the middle of the dance to use her "goggles" and look out at the audience.
During their final bow Joli was a little upset that she couldn't see me.
Eventually we found each other and she was very happy. Chris was amused at my holding both children at once. Yeah it doesn't feel too great.
Joli was her whimsical self once again on the way to the car.
Saying hello to her shadow.
Picking flowers.
Making a wish.
Although the recital was very entertaining I think Joli and I have both given up on show business!

Grammi Weekend Day One

Well I didn't really post a lot this weekend but there were a lot of pictures taken and most of them not by me. So the next few posts will pretty much be catch up of the wonderful photos that Laume took! Here are a few from Seaport Village.

I took these this weekend while Joli had a little down time. I don't know why but she just looked so sweet.

More to come!
