Lunch and Lights

Today we wandered through shops and then headed to eat one of my favorite lunch spots. We had to get a few shots along the way.

Sometimes the photographer must be photographed.
This was a Joli shot.
Joli wanted to show off her feather that she found.
Grammi was very sweet and bought Joli a cupcake after lunch.
Once it started to get dark I decided to bundle up and enjoy the front porch. Brody joined me.
After dinner we all jump in the cars and headed out to find the good Christmas lights. We found one neighborhood that did a great job and we wandered around for two hours!

This one tugged at my heartstings.

Here you go Jess!
We had such a wonderful time. It really made it feel like Christmas.

Christmas Party

One of the guys had a Christmas party at his house tonight and I thought I did a pretty good job at taking some pictures, but nope, this is all I got.

Yep I suck. I need to practice those picture taking skills.

Life With Guitar Heroes

Today Joe promised he would take Joli to the Museum of Natural History. She really wanted to see the dinosaurs. So off they went to give me some time to myself. I ended up spending most of that time putting together the most complicated child's toy on the planet, but it'll all be worth it Christmas morning.
After the museum Joe took Joli to do some Christmas shopping and out to lunch. I think they really enjoyed themselves.
Our house is completely clean and decorated for Christmas. Even our animals have Christmas spirit.
Both of the cats have them too, but this is the only one that cooperate for a picture.
This evening we spent some quality time together enjoying our favorite family past time.
I'm just waiting for the day that she discovers that her guitar isn't actually plugged in.

Shopping With GG

Last night my mom came down so we could see her and exchange gifts. So today we all spent the day together doing some shopping and just puttering around town. Joli was active as ever.
In one of the stores she snuck off and painting her nails in the two minutes it took us to find her. What a stinker!
Now we're all exhausted and ready for a good nights sleep!

LOOK! LOOK!

I made dinner!!!!
I asked Joe to make me lasagna three weeks ago, but he hasn't been here or he's been working. So I decided enough was enough. I went in the kitchen and thought only of the finished product as I handled all the raw food that consistently makes me queasy. Joli thought it was great! She had seconds on veggies and a whole plate of lasagna! She told me it was the best lasagna she's ever had. It might be enough motivation to cook again sometime.
I also had to share a "winter" photo of Joli. It was definitely over 70 degrees today, so we played outside.

Another Day

Apparently I took this picture yestday and just didn't see it. But Joli looked so sweet that I had to put it up.
This morning my friend Leanh came by and picked up Joli to take her to see The Princess and the Frog. We got her dressed in her sweetest tiara for the movie.
While Joli was gone Kacie and Charlotte came by to pick some things up. Charlotte thought Joli's penguins were the coolest thing ever.
I worked my butt off this week and just finished Charlotte's Christmas present! I wasn't sure I was going to get it done so I showed Kacie this afternoon, she was so excited she asked if I could get in done for her to take home with her. Of course I finished it, I was so happy that she liked it!!
I only have a tiny baby bump but I figured it was important to document the progress, so here's my belly at 13 and 1/2 weeks.

Of course it looks bigger when there's actually food in my belly. I was doing great and then was cursed with some food poisening that caused another nasty day. But much better tonight! Yay!!

I've Been a Bad Blogger!

But I'm here today to catch up. Finally uploaded my photos from this week and here they are. This is the adorable dress that Joli got from Uncle Sam and Aunt Ashley for her birthday. Just loves being a winter princess in it!
We also got a package from my dad and Lori. Grandma Lori found the cutest little outfits for Joli's dolls and she loves them! I'm just excited that babies have clothes and don't have to be naked anymore!

Yesterday it poured rain which made the dog and child absolutely nuts! So I put on our rain jackets and we went out front to finally finish the Christmas decorating! Joli was excited to finally use the umbrella. She's been waiting ALL YEAR!!
Eventually Joli gave up on the umbrella and even lost the hood. Sometimes you just have to play in the rain!
Today Joli and I dress up in our new shirts from Old Navy. I didn't realize til after we were both dressed that we had dressed alike!
There, all caught up for the moment.
