Even though I've been busy packing, we did take a break today to go sit in our new front yard and wait for the gas guy. We did not have keys, but someone had to be there. So we go to play on our new front porch! I layed in the grass, and every once in awhile Joli would hike through the foot of grass (I am so buying a lawn mower), and come climb around me.
Then she would relax and read a book for a few minutes (notice the title).
And then it was back through the jungle to the comforts of the porch.
She had an entire bucket of toys up there, and lets just say that one of the first things I'm doing is washing the front porch! (That white shirt is not longer white!)
But as always, the most important thing is to chase your mommy, followed by an adorable umbrella!

Your new front yard is pretty picturesque, even with an overgrown lawn. You should see our lawn - we just mowed it last weekend (or maybe it was two weekends ago) but with all the cool weather and rain, it's already all jungly again. Cute umbrella - where did you get it? It would be a great one for the festival
. And that's a great author - Kurcinka. I met her at a conference, both personally and in a workshop. She was very wise and entertaining. And of course it goes without saying that Joli is the star of the photos.
