An Afternoon at the Beach

My mom and Brianna came down yesterday for the weekend, so we decided to go to the beach. Since there was a bit of a walk across the sand to the water, I put Joli in the sling on Brianna. They were both so funny.
Once we got to our spot we sat down to have a picnic. The seagulls were very excited about our sandwiches!

After we gave the birds a little bread it was hard to get Joli to actually eat her lunch and not feed it to them!

Joli enjoyed digging in the sand with her auntie. Some kids near us taught her to put water in her sand, but she was too afraid to actually go get water, so she would just stand about ten feet from the waves and hold out her hands.

Joli did have a great time running all over the beach.

Here she is the hole that Brianna dug. Brianna kept talking about burying Joli, but I didn't think she'd appriciate the activity.

Joli was a little bit more brave with her auntie by her side... until she fell in!

After a few hours Joli was starting to get fussy so it was back in the sling to head home. Joli screamed at the top of her lungs for about ten minutes before she passed out, it was great!

We're off for another beautiful day!
