It has occurred to me that Markus might be in need of some extra focused attention. So after dropping Joli of at school we walked to the trolley station!
It's so exciting riding the trolley. It doesn't really save us any money, but it's cheaper than driving anywhere and paying to ride some rides! Plus Markus loves it!
We rode the trolley to Santee, where we got a coffee for me, a smoothie for Markus, and a bagel to share. The bookstore wasn't open yet, so we went into Target to grab a few things before heading over there. It finally fun taking Markus to the book store because he loves looking at lots of books. He started in the train section and then found the super hero books.
He had me read him the story of Thor several times.
Then we looked at firetrucks, frogs, and fish.
Eventually we agreed on the books he could bring home, which he carried all the way home!!
Aside from falling off his seat once, it was a great time!!
We both needed to like each other again :)
We came home and put up the GIANT turkey that Grandma Lori and Papa Paul sent us.
We also put up our tree from last year.
After Joli got home from school we all went to the park.
It was cloudy, raining off and on, and somewhat chilly all day, SO I got to wear my boots, sweater, AND a scarf!!!! What a great day!!

Joe played tag with our kids and a couple other kids on the playground. They LOVED it!
When Joe decided to take a break the world ACTUALLY ended.....
It really was a fantastic day!!
