Wild Animals!

Since our good friends have come all the way out to California from Texas, we decided that we just had to see them! So we met them at the Wild Animal Park! They also have a little girl just a few months older than Joli. The girls got along great, holding hands and occasionally hugging. They also had a good time playing in the new Little Tykes play area.
There were all kinds of tunnels and climbers for the girls to poke their heads out of.

And of course there was a slide! There were also a lot of big kids, so we only did the slide a few times.
One of the coolest parts of the day was the lion exhibit. The Daddy lion was all upset because the other lions had gone in to get fed, and he was making all kinds of loud noises. The girls were just amazed that a kittie could make that kind of sound! Yes that is my child with her head right next to the lion. He was checking her and little Jaycie out quite a bit!
The Wild Animal also has a new discovery center that had these wonderful little loveseats for us adults to sit in, and a little play area for the girls. After walking for HOURS, it was great!!

Jaycie took it upon herself to be the first one to climb onto the table. Joli's looking a little bit confused. "But mom, you told me no!"
As we were leaving there was this really cool hanging pod thing, and the girls thought it was great. I actually had to climb in to get Joli out. Now where's that picture :)!

We had such a great time and are totally bummed that we're not going to get to spend more time with our friends before they have to jet back home!! Hopefully our schedules will come together one more time before then!
