Good Friends

It's always important to have a good support system, especially if you have a husband that is gone a lot. Lucky for us we have some great friends and have already done several dinners and outings together! The kids seem to have grown so much in the past few days. Markus is able to hold himself up enough to sit in a high chair at the table now, so he's been sitting with us during meals!
Joli's been having a pretty rough time. She's had a lot of adjustments in the past four months, and it's not going to get any easier anytime soon. So now I'm trying to make sure to give her a little extra love and a little extra attention so she doesn't end up acting out all the time to get it.
Kacie and I spent almost every meal together last deployment and so far we've had a least one meal together each day! So nice to have such a great friend! Markus loves going over and playing with Charlotte's baby toys.
Joli loves playing with all of Charlotte's big kid toys. Kacie has a ton of stuff from when she was a kid and Joli just loves it!
Tonight we went to Abby's for dinner and I brought Markus' high chair so that he wouldn't quite be down at the same level as all the kids, just in case they felt the need to poke him.
They all loved the new toy Markus got for the high chair.
Abby and Shane's yard is great now that they've put up a fence! The kids just love it!
Joli and Syrus have reached the age of tattling on each other. It's horrible!
Luckily Abby knows how to make a good margarita!
Charlotte was whiny as usual.
Markus has truly become somewhat the perfect baby. He hung out and watched everyone all evening!

Sometimes we just laugh at the chaos we put ourselves through. But we love it!

For some reason Lilly was all about watch Yo Gabba Gabba, and Markus was pretty into it!
Of course the big kids just wanted to jump on the bed!
Kacie didn't want me to take pictures of her, but I can't get over how much hers and Charlotte's hair are starting to look alike!

After all the kids were bathed and in their jammies, we sat down to read some books. Lilly picked out her own.
Markus just listened.
Syrus snuggled with his mama.
And Joli just listened to every one. It was such a nice evening!
