This Week

Well, we're at the start of a new journey. The week after next I'm going to put Markus in underwear and spend the week at home. I'm not quite ready to potty train but every time he goes in his diaper he says "OH!" and starts grabbing at his diaper. He doesn't like being dirty and wants it off. So we've been practicing a little bit this week. He hasn't gone in the toilet yet, but he LOVES reading the potty book and sitting on it. Fingers crossed!
Last week I bought both the kids "Mommy bears" from Build-A-Bear. Markus carries his around all the time! He gets up every morning and brings out his puppy and his mommy bear. I just love it!

On Monday I got the kids a tunnel to play in and they just loved it!!

The kitten has played in it just as much as the kids!

Markus was very pleased with he realized the big ball fits through the tunnel.

Tuesday morning was another milestone! Joli started preschool!! She had such a great time and didn't want to come home!! I don't think we're going to have any problems with kindergarten in the Fall!
After preschool Joli came home and told me all about "the man on the money" (George Washington) that she learned about. Then she went to singing class and learned all about Mardi Gras and Jazz music! They made masks and got some beads! She was so excited!
I have finally found the perfect place for the papasan chair! Since it's between the two couches the kids can easily get in and out without falling off of it! They sit in it all the time now!
Joli just loves playing in her room.
I just wish she would love cleaning it!
Last night I wanted to make an easy meal that the kids could be involved in, so we all made our own pita pizzas. Markus was pretty simple with his.
Joli piled the stuff on!
I had a couple fancy ones that were so delicious!
This one last picture is to show Markus in Joe's shirt from when he was little! Joli just outgrew it a few months ago!

Afternoon Tea

I've been wanting to take Joli to the tea house for months now, but we just haven't had the time. So today my dad and Lori took Markus for a walk and I took Joli out for tea!
We were pleasantly surprised that they had dress up stuff!
And there was even a beautiful sign on our table!
Joli was genuinely thrilled!
I found a hat that didn't look too bad on me.
Joli picked the tea cup with the beautiful pink rose.
And I picked the red!
We had some nice tea pots as well.
They brought us out some delicious wafers.

Then came our food!
We had so much fun!
I think our favorite thing was the desserts!!

Then at the end they brought us some cranberry-orange scones! So yummy!!!!

Balboa Park

One of the activities we wanted to make sure and do while my dad and Lori were here, was to go to Balboa Park. My dad wanted to see the car museum so we headed there! Markus thought the cars were so cool, I didn't trust him enough to let him run around though!
Joli had me take a picture of her with all her favorites.
This motorcycle was so interesting I just couldn't help but take picture!

These next couple pictures make me nervous about Joli's future!

This one not so much!
The had some very relaxing places to watch the documentaries!

After the museum we walked over to Joli's singing class, and then kids entertained themselves while we they waited for the class to start.

They love to practice their balance.

This was right before Joli decided to do a flying spin and landed on her elbow.
So we cuddled a bit.
While Joli was in class, the rest of us walked over and got some coffee, it was nice sunset!
