We Got Our Keys!!!

We actually got them around 5:00 last night. We all waited so patiently all day until the call came! Even Joli!
Then today we got busy! Joe went to Home Depot twice, put new door knobs and dead bolts on all three of the outside doors, put up the smoke detector, and put door stops on all the doors.
I painted Joli's bedroom. It looks way better now that it has dried and the tape is down. At first it was kind of yellow and we were worried but now it's leaning more towards the green. In order to give myself a break when I was tired of painting, I also cleaned the bathrooms and all the floors, and child-proofed the kitchen. Very relaxing!
Now that the floors are clean Joli hasn't been quite so dirty, but last night she was filthy!
Of course we made sure that the first thing we brought over was Joli's toys. They're only everywhere!!
Moving into a new house if very exhausted, so Joli rested for all of us.

Daddy's PJs

In the midst of packing I also have gone through a few boxes that were in storage. Yesterday I pulled out the box of Joe's old baby clothes, and took out what fit her now. So tonight we get to see a tiny Joe.
I know you can't really see her pjs in this picture, but her eyes just looked so pretty! And and the fact that she was have a happy moment and saying "chee" over and over again totally made me laugh!

Her newest words are "ju" (yay for juice), and "no, no, no". She doesn't use that last one in context though, she just likes to torment other children with it!

Our New Porch!!!

Even though I've been busy packing, we did take a break today to go sit in our new front yard and wait for the gas guy. We did not have keys, but someone had to be there. So we go to play on our new front porch! I layed in the grass, and every once in awhile Joli would hike through the foot of grass (I am so buying a lawn mower), and come climb around me.
Then she would relax and read a book for a few minutes (notice the title).
And then it was back through the jungle to the comforts of the porch.
She had an entire bucket of toys up there, and lets just say that one of the first things I'm doing is washing the front porch! (That white shirt is not longer white!)
But as always, the most important thing is to chase your mommy, followed by an adorable umbrella!

The Zoo

There are all kinds of animals at the zoo. This is the first time I've seen this one though.
There's a baby one too!
This is what we found at the mouse house!
She really was okay with petting them, Joe just likes to help.
Here is another amazing animal that you can see at the zoo!

Sea World!

Today was our Sea World day. We went later in the day so that we could watch the cool night shows. Plus it made it so that Angelina and Joli could take a nap. (Yes, we know about their names, and no we didn't do it on purpose. But people sure do look at you funny when you call them!) This was the only picture Joli smiled in!
Angelina was thrilled about every thing, and was overall very happy with the whole thing.
We went and saw the pets show. We thought the kids would love it, but the sun was going down right in front of us through the whole show and they were both getting so frustrated that they couldn't see the animals. Joli was just as excited about these animals though.
We then walked over to the aquariums and the kids got to touch the star fish. They thought it was pretty cool, but the water was so cold!!
The funniest part of the whole experience was when we went to the dolphin show. Joe was determined not to get wet and wanted to sit way at the top. Well I convinced that if we sit at the top of the wet zone we wouldn't get wet, because we never do. So when splash time came and a huge whale was splashing us with its tale. Jessie and I almost died laughing as Joe was the ONLY one that got wet!! He was less than thrilled!
Tomorrow we're off to the zoo!!

Duckies and Rides

So since my friend Jessies and her daughter, Angelina are coming into to town today, we have plans to go to Sea World, the zoo, and the beach this weekend. Which is why I decided that I better put up the pictures from the zoo last week now.
This is one of the rides at the zoo. Of course it was the one thing I had to drag her away from!

As always, the zoo is exhausting!

Mother's Day Goodies... For Joli!

For Mother's Day my mom and I went out to Summers Past for a dessert buffet. It was really yummy, but we had such a great time just hanging out and talking for several hours! Eventually we headed into the shop where I discovered they had many more butterfly and fairy items! So even though it was Mother's Day, I still ended up buying gifts for my baby. I got her a little fairy to go in the "Fairy House" hanging from the ceiling.
I found another pair of handmade wings. You can't wear these, but they're so pretty!

This is one of two little wings.
This is the other.
This butterfly is on a string of several other butterflies. It's supposed to hang down from the ceiling, but unfortunately that puts it in perfect reach of little fingers. So I strung it across the window instead.
I also got a few other little goodies for my new bathroom but I want to wait until I have them in it before I take pictures. It's all about the big picture!

Dance, Dance Baby

Last night the three of us met my mom and my sister in Oceanside to go to a concert put on by the local radio station. It only cost $5 a person and usually consists of three bands. The first two most of the time I've only heard them once or twice and then third is usually someone fairly big. This time the big guy was Keith Anderson. From the moment we arrived Joli began dancing. I sat her down on the concrete in front of all those people in the stands because there were no seats. Immediately the crowd began clapping and cheering as my child danced her little booty off. She continued this dancing for HOURS!!!
Until about 9:30 when dancing just wasn't enough. Then her Daddy started the dance!

Art Gallery

Most of today was spent going through things and figuring out what I want to get rid of, and what I want to keep. Joli did her best to help.
Part of my taking things down, was taking down all the things that I would need to trim tape off of. This included all of Joli's artwork. Although I did save it, I wanted to have a picture of them all just in case. This is the painting she made last summer.
This is her first time coloring.
First time with markers
These next two are ones that she's done at her table recently.

This is another time using paint.
What an artsy baby!
