Summer Fun!

Joli and I have already begun our summer at the beach. It's been in the 90's everyday so we've made the most of it. Today she started swim lessons. She totally loved. She squealed and laughed the entire time! It's with about 10 other babies and moms, so it was a lot of fun.
We did last very long on the beach just because once we actually got in the water, it was a bit chilly, so here's my girl on the long trek back.
Now for some more house pictures. When we went to check out the house the other day, we saw that someone had cleaned up the yard, so we can actually see it now!

This is the area I'm going to use for my garden!
This is the view from our front porch.
Here is the light in the living room.
And the light in our new master bedroom.
Can't wait to move! We do our inspection next week!

We Got Our House!!!

Our realtor called today and said that the bank excepted our offer and that if we want to we can move into escrow!! So exciting! This is the one!! Isn't it so pretty?!?! (Ignore my crazy husband on the steps!)
This is my new front porch! Notice the beautiful stonework!
This is the other part of the porch and my new neighbors yard!
This is half of my new kitchen!
And the other half!
This is my new dining area!
This is our new bathroom, and the guest/Joli bathroom looks about the same.
This is Joli's new bedroom. Our bedroom looks about the same, and the office is in the middle. The only difference is the office has hardwood floors.
This is my new laundry room! So big!
This is the living room, looking out into the street!
And this is our new backyard! Looks like we're buying a lawn mower!!
So exciting! I can't wait to move in!!!

Cookies, Crayons and Creativity!

It started with a craving for chocolate chip cookies. Except I can't just go to the store and buy chocolate chip cookies, they're never quite the same. But if I'm going to make them, then I better make a ful batch. The only problem is that I don't want to eat a full batch. So the ritual is that I bake the full batch, put about six in a small container, and send the rest to work with Joe. The boys love them, I get my cookies fix, and I don't gain five pounds. It's great!
Here you can have one too!
Joli decided that her way of helping was to draw a picture of the cookies. I finally broke down and taped down the paper. She was having such a hard time with the idea of holding the paper still and coloring, that she wasn't even coloring, she was just taking the crayons in and out of the box. So now she colors too!Rare shot of me without make-up. Joli was loving the camera so I took advantage.
I was actually trying to get a picture of the clip that actually stayed in her hair now that there's enough to clip it too. Joli didn't actually notice it was there for about three hours, it came out as soon as she did.
This is one of Joli's favorite places to play. On the shelves of the island. We just went grocery shopping so the shelves are full of canned food. The last couple days have consisted of several minutes of Joli chucking the cans as far as she can across the room and then saying "ah-oh".
I think this may be the official "look at my cuteness" photo.
Although we had just gotten out of the shower, Joli wasn't quite sure she was clean enough, so clothes basket it is!
Oh, and I finally got my photos for my wall art! Didn't it turn out so great!!

Houses Again

Joe and I are still searching for the perfect house that the owners would also like us to buy! We've found two in the last week that are simply wonderful. Both are located just north of us on a nice street. This house is across from a huge field and is one of just a few houses on the street.

This shot is to show the beautiful stone work on the porch. The steps and pillars are made of the same stone.
This is the kitchen, which is also so cute, and has matching flooring. (Also fresh paint.)

There is no Fridge but the oven and dishwasher are new!
This is one of two bathrooms and both are pretty similiar in style and layout.

This is the master bedroom. Although you can't really tell the size, you can see the beautiful details. The room is actually similiar to our bedroom now.

This is the laundry room that was built on the back of the garage, giving easy access to the house as they are now on the same level.
This last shot is of the view out the front window. Although it is a little dark, you can still see the field across the street. This house also has a big backyard, and a large storage area under the house. It's such a cute house!!
This house we just found a few days ago, and it is also very cute! It is on a semi busy street, but with a fenced in long driveway, Joli will be able to ride her bike without having to go outside the gate. You can mostly see the house past our realtors car.

This is the carport on the way back towards the two car garage. Joe's excited because I can park in the carport and he will then be able to have the whole garage!

This is the kitchen. I'm not sure if the previous owners just didn't know how to paint of if they just got a bad batch, but that's going to go! Our realtor says that the tile is the original and very valuable. We may leave it, but it needs to be fixed in a few spots.
This is the dining area. Notice the built-in hutch that I'm really excited about!!

This is the living room. It has the original hardwood floors throughout the whole house, except the addition.
This is the door between what would be office space and the family room. The family room was added on and gives much more space to the house. It is a very nice and inviting room that was done well.
This is the fireplace in the family room. It would be really exciting to have a fireplace!

Now this is Joli's favorite thing about the house. She spent at least 10-15 minutes on this thing while I checked out the backyard.
And the backyard is HUGE by the way. I was standing next to the playset when I took this picture, so you can't even see how big it really is!
So those are the newest house that we like. Hopefully we'll get an answer soon. Then we are going to stay in the house FOREVER!! I'm not doing this again!

Photoshop!!!

I finally got a photo editing program after months of screwed up pictures. I went to upload the pictures from California Adventure and Windows screwed them up. Joe was so mad! He said those are priceless memories that we can't get back and there was no way he was going to have it screw up our Disneyland pictures too. So on Wednesday he went and bought me Photoshop Elements, which is basically the normal persons Photoshop, and costs about $600 less than regular Photoshop. I got it all installed last night and was able to view and edit our Disneyland photos. Then this morning I started playing with it. A while back I put up a post about the black and red picture frames that I painted, and now I finally have pictures to go in them! This is what I did.

One from Joe's graduation.
One from Halloween.
One of Joli playing in the Rain.
And the Last one from Valentine's Day!

Disneyland!!

We had such a great time! We didn't get there until 11:30 so we rode a few rides before we had lunch. Joli and I hung out outside while Joe got the food and it took about an hour! Eventually we ate our extremely overpriced lunched and then headed out again.
Joe and I walked around main street while Joli slept, and then tried to find something to do that we could take the stoller in. Before too long she woke up to the two bunnies I won for her in the arcade.

It took her a few minutes to remember where she was.

Then there's the classic Disneyland picture.

Here they are going over the bridge.

Of course we had to ride the carousel and Joli loved it!

After Joli screamed through the entire line, we finally got on Dumbo and she was a little excited. Then she realized Joe wasn't riding with us.
Finally Joli was happy on the stationary Dumbo with her Daddy.

Glimpse of the future? No of course not our baby! (Two seconds later she fell backwards and started screaming.)
Riding a Trolley
End of the Day
Just relaxing by the fire.
A little too short I think!
We were exhausted but still loving each other.
At around 8:30 we got tired of waiting in lines and took Joli to get her souvenir. She looked at all the different stuffed animals and after playing with several she decided she liked Baby Minnie the best. She held her baby and her daddy carried his on the way out.
Once we got to the car we were all tired, and Joli crashed with her baby.
We are so glad we went, we had so much fun doing something as a family!
