Dog Beach

The dog beach is a wonderful place for a loving dog like Brody to play. Unfortunately we hardly make it there because it is hard when the preschooler goes one way and the dog goes the other. But since Joe is currently on leave, it was the perfect day to take him.

Brianna and Joli enjoyed some time making sand castles.
Brody is a very submissive dog. This is how he responds to "come".

Joli didn't want Auntie to stop playing in the sand.
Brody was amazing with the other dogs. He just wants to love everyone.

We pretty much let Brody play until he decided he was done. Then he hid behind his mommy!

After the beach we went to get some lunch. Brody slept through most of it.
Now we're all home relaxing and enjoying a sleeping dog.

A Wonderful Christmas!!

This morning we woke and Joli was determined to get something to eat... until we went out into the living room.
She got the babies she asked Santa for. They are so sweet!
Joe's friend Johnny brought over some presents for Joli and she loved them!
Then we opened stockings and Joli was once again pleased.
I finally let her open all the food she got from Uncle Sam and she made us all some cake.
Isn't wasn't quite warm enough though, so she heated it up for us.

We also got milk with our cake.
I'm so bummed I didn't get any pictures of Joe cooking, but he was absolutely amazing!! I told him he's hired for all holiday meals that he's here for. I did get pictures of everyone else though.
This was my holiday outfit.
Joli's was beautiful!
Brianna enjoyed playing with our animals.
Joli had a good time dressing up the kitties some more.
My Daddy Pat finally made it down to see us! We are so excited!!
Classic "William" pose.
Brianna was a rock star and washed all the dishes after dinner!
Most everyone else just slept after.

My belly just would NOT stay in my shirt.
Papa did a great job entertaining the sweet pea.

Once everyone woke up there was an intense game of "Scene It".
All the girls left to take the puppies for a walk.
Joli had a wonderful time walking a dog that wouldn't drag her down the street.
I was thrilled discover that if I wore my skirt over my jeans then I didn't have to zip them!!
Finally there was just too much excitement and Joli gave up.
Such a nice day! I couldn't have asked for more from our first Christmas at home!

Opening Presents

Well as usual, in the frenzy of everyone opening presents I did not get nearly enough pictures to capture the moment. But here are a few. This is the shirt that Joli picked out for Joe because she thought it look "just like daddy".
This is the beautiful little statue that Joe bought for me. It's hand carved.
Joli and Papa had a bit of the flu today and just did not feel well, but Joli asked all day if we could open presents. Most of the time she wavered between laying in my lap and wanting to open more. I don't think she actually got excited about anything, poor baby.
Papa loved the calender we made for him. He said it was the best present he could have got.
I was so very excited to see that Laume loved the present I made for her. I really wanted to make something that she would enjoy but probably wouldn't make herself. It's a faerie garden!
Once we were all done, we opened Juliet and Zeus' presents for them. We couldn't find Juliet so Zeus had to be the model. He just loved it.

Brody thinks he got the best present of all. He chewed on this thing for HOURS before passing out.
There were so many other wonderful gifts and hopefully I will get around to putting up some more pictures of them in the next few days. Thank you everyone and Merry Christmas!!!
