Catching Up

Last week Kacie and I took the kids to the nighttime zoo. It was so fun!! It wasn't hot and there was hardly anyone there!

Markus was sure that the peacock wanted to play with him.

Markus loved the giraffes once again!

So did the girls!

There are some cool shows to watch at the nighttime zoo too!

We walked down towards another show and the bears happened to be out!

We saw one last show before heading home.

We ran some errands and came across this adorable tool belt. Markus looks so stinkin' cute in it!

We also got a pound-a-peg since our first dog ate the last one!

One night the power went out just before the kids went to bed, and since that meant no fans or nightlights, they ended up staying up with us. They thought the candles were pretty neat.

Joli was excited for about twenty minutes, and then she realized she couldn't see to draw or look at books, and she definitely couldn't watch tv. So she went to bed not too long after!

One of the errands we had ran was to get Joli her own swing because she had fallen a few times trying to get into Markus'. She loves it! And Markus loves having his swing back!

Another night we decided to all play in Joli's room while dinner was cooking. It was the first time Markus had ever seen the drum set and he loved it!

Joli just loves playing with her daddy.

Then they all formed a band.

It was a lovely time!

It's been pretty hot this past and now our air conditioning isn't working, so we've been improvising.

Markus loves the hose.

Joe tried to show him how to spray it.

It's always fun to make a water slide. The puppy even likes it!

Before too long it was nap time.

Yesterday the kids (Joli mostly) decided to build a fort. Markus thought it was so cool!

It so fun to watch them play together!

And that what's happened in the last week!

Everyone Jumps

Yesterday I took all the "kids" out in the backyard to play for awhile. Markus has finally figured out how to jump on his feet, as long as Joli isn't jumping too.

The dogs have started playing together a lot more since Havoc has gotten bigger!

What silly children.

Markus has also mastered climbing the ladder!

He gets a little nervous at this point, but I know he can do it so I just stand close and encourage him.

He did it!

The dogs favorite game to play is tug!

After awhile we were all hot and went up for some water.
