Sam and Ashley's

After spending some more time with Grammy and Papa, we headed over to Sam and Ashley's so they could see the kids. Joli just can't wait for Berkley to be big enough to play big girl things with her!
Markus just wants to fix their cars.

Markus and Berkley have finally gotten old enough that they're practically the same age, and the definition of "double trouble"! "These crackers are phenomenal!"

Both the babies think Joli is the most interesting thing in "their" world.

Markus and Joli are always up for some snuggly movie time!

Ashley decided to mow the lawn Wednesday morning and Markus and I watched.

He thought it was very interesting... from a distance.

"Oooops, too close!"

"This is better."

In between the time that Ashley finished with the lawn mower and went to get the weed whacker, the sprinklers decided to come on. The kids were pretty excited about that!

Joli had a great time catching rainbows!

Markus didn't quite seem to understand that if he didn't run though the sprinkler, he then would get sprayed.

"Evil water!"

Mommy's pretty funny though.

Ugh, down in the water again.

And back to Mommy.

Markus' hair is certainly adorable but was on the verge of being out of control. So I made sure to get a few pictures of it...

Before we cut it!!! Uncle Sam did the first few snips.

Proud uncle!

Markus was a little unsure about this idea.

Then Auntie Ashley finished him off.

He looks like such a big boy now!

On Thursday morning we were getting ready to go, and the kids decided they should entertain themselves...

Crazy kids!

Grammi and Papa's

Joe and I wanted to do something epic for Sam and Ashley's bachelor/bachelorette party. So we rented a houseboat with them and all their friends/bridal party! But since small children don't really coincide with party on a houseboat, the kids stayed with Joe's parents for the weekend! It ended up working out great because they were only a few hours away, and the kids LOVE their Grammy and Papa! We made sure to spend a day and night with them before with left, and got them all settled in.
Markus is just obsessed with "Dada".

It took him a few days to figure out what these small creatures were. He's used to big dogs!

Joli was her usual charming self.

The kids had a great time going swimming, to the county fair, and just playing with their grandparents. And since I wasn't there, I don't really have that many pictures! When we came back they were over the moon! Markus was a little stressed out when I started packing the car so we could all leave!

It was so nice not to have to worry about the kids!

The Beach, Again

On Sunday Chris and Kacie were headed to the beach and asked if we wanted to come. So we all piled in the car and headed over. The kids were excited to be back at the beach.
Brody was thrilled that he got to come.

Chris and Joe always end up digging giant holes, of course the kids love it.

Markus was so proud that he could get in and out of it.

Brody had a great time splashing in the waves.

Markus found Charlotte's wagon and took it for a walk.

Then came back to climb in the hole Joe was trying to dig.

He was a good helper.

Then the boys got serious.

Chris entertained the kids by making them mermaids.

So fun.

Joe was convinced that could make a tunnel between their holes.

Kacie and I enjoyed our seats.

Then Joe got in the hole and Chris buried him.

Markus wanted to get buried too.

Joli got in the other hole.

Charlotte was upset by this and tried to get Joli out.

Then it was nap time.

Joe put the training wheels on Joli's bike and she got to finally try it out.

She loved it! Joe told to stand by her bike for a picture....

Then he told her next time maybe not the centerfold version!
