The Playground

Joe had some homework he needed to get done this morning, so I took the kids to the playground. Markus was so distracted by the dogs, it took me a good ten minutes to get him from the car to the playground!
Joli knew right where to go, and was not too thrilled about waiting for little brother!

Joli has become amazing at using her manners and taking turns with other kids. She asked the kid that was on here before her very politely if she could have a turn, and then only spent a few minutes on it so that others could try it too!

Markus wanted on this seahorse very badly, but then wasn't all that thrilled once I put him on.

The swings are always a big hit!

Since there was a line for the swings, I tried to distract Markus from them with the slide, but he caught sight of a bunch of pigeons and set to chasing them

"Hey, how'd they get up there?"

Joli gets a little better at the rings and monkey bars every time we go.

Markus wanted to jump on this in a bad way, but he doesn't quite have the balance. So he was thrilled that I would bounce it for him and he could pretend he was shaking it.

Right before we were ready to leave some little girls showed up with a bag of sand toys. The kids were thrilled!

Joli made "cakes" in the sand.

Of course I didn't think about the fact that I should have gone to the store AFTER the playground, so we didn't get to stay quite long enough for either of the kids. Joli is really good about leaving, but Markus cried all the way back to the car.
