All Markus wanted for his birthday party was a jumpie. Since he was having a super hero party, I found a super hero jumpie! He was absolutely thrilled!!
I didn't do too much else since the jumpie was the main attraction, but I did get a new bubble machine, which Markus was also very excited about.
I managed to get one adorable picture of the birthday boy before the party started.
Luckily the jumpie was made to hold some adults, because we definitely used it!
Every thing about the party sort of revolved around Batman. Mostly because it was the easiest to draw!
Jerry and Tessa arrived and Jerry was in full Batman costume!! It was so awesome!
Joe was Super Daddy!
Tessa had her Batman gear on too!
Everyone that was wearing Batman got in a picture. I realize now I should have got in it too! So cute!
The Batmans battled.
To the jumpie!
Shane, Abby, Syrus, and Lilly arrived, and the kids were thrilled!
Soon Joe became "Super Grillin' Daddy"!
Bob and Donna came over from next door and enjoyed some food with us. They also brought their umbrella and kid chairs. Markus was very happy in his shady spot with his lunch!
It didn't take long for the boys to put together a beer pong table.
After awhile the kids seemed to be waning, so we brought out the ice cream cupcakes! They came out so cute!!!
Markus was super excited!
Everyone loved the cupcakes. They were so delicious! I made a layer of chocolate devils food cake, then a layer of vanilla frozen yogurt, then a layer of whipped cream cheese frosting, then Elena and Dylan helped me make black fondant bats for the top!! So incredible!
Markus certainly enjoyed them (and was still talking about them when I put him to bed!).
After we finished our cupcakes, Abby and I got to hose out to put on the slide so the kids could cool off. They had such a great time!
Since the kids were busy with the slide, Elena, Dylan and I decided to play in the jumpie!!
It was quite a work out!
Markus was perfectly happy playing in the water and with the hose all by himself.
Then we talked him into opening his presents! He tore through them before I get hardly any pictures! He got some great trucks, water guns, super hero cups, books, a movie, a puzzle, a helicopter, a bag of change (which he LOVED), and my mom got he and Joe some remote control cars! He loved it all! I opened the squirt guns right away and he played with them the rest of the afternoon!
He also got to finally open the quilt I made for him!
It's made from receiving blankets from when he was a baby, and I added a bunch of super hero symbols! He loves it and asked me to hurry and finish sewing the binding so he can put it on his bed!
We spent the rest of the afternoon chatting, eating, and jumping!! It was such a great party and we're so grateful to everyone that came to share it with us!,
