Pool side

Today we had lunch and went swimming at Nikki's. It was nice and relaxing, except for when Markus or Ryan would forget they couldn't swim and try to jump in the pool. Joli had a great time playing with a couple other girls that were there. My mom worked on her tan for awhile and watched the crazy kids with us. Joe spent a little time teaching Nikki how to bar-b-que when she wasn't chasing kids with me. We all had a great time swimming and playing in the pool!

Summer's Past

Today we met Kacie and the girls out at Summer's Past. We had a great time and it was so beautiful!!

 Getting Markus not to run off is starting to become quite a challenge. This is part of the reason why I still bring the stroller places, so if he forgets to stay with me he can go in it!

Pool Party

 Markus slipped under the water oncce and Joli thought it was hilarious!

 So hilarious she thought she should try.

 Markus figured it wasn't that bad getting all wet.

 I'm pretty sure I was asking him to put the toys in the basket. Not sure why it warranted crying?

Playing with our Friends!

We haven't been able to spend much time with Abby, Syrus, and Lilly in the past few months, so we were thrilled to get our schedules together and meet at the beach today! Both the kids were excited all morning! Once we got Joli from school, we headed over!

 The kids had such a great time together! There was a big hole on the beach, which was a huge amount entertainment for them.

 They decided the best game was to run and jump in the hole and attempt not to hit each other!

 Markus thought the whole thing was hilarious, even though he got knocked over a few times.

 Syrus and Joli are still the best of friends, and we're thrilled that they're finally able to work out their little arguments between themselves.

 Lilly wanted to play in the water which meant Abby had to hold her hand. I tried to get Markus in, but every time his feet got close to the water he screamed at the top of his lungs!

 One of the things I was most looking forward to was getting Joli the bike that I knew she wanted, in hopes that she would have the courage to try riding again. Her last bike was not a good bike. It was too heavy, the training wheels constantly fell off, and she just couldn't handle it. This one is new, light, has training wheels that are designed for the bike, and it's covered in princesses. Fingers crossed!! Oh and she loves it!

Markus went with me to buy the bike and was pretty upset that he was too little to ride on it. Little does he know, his birthday is coming up!!
