Paradise

Jess and Ryan came down for a visit yesterday, and I volunteered to watch their boys for the night so they could go up to L.A. for a family function. So I wanted to come up with something that I could take four kids to do, in a somewhat controlled environment, but that also allowed them to be free and expel as much energy as possible. I decided the beach is the perfect place for that! I got all four car seats loaded up in Joe's truck (which the kids were super excited about!), and away we went! Markus got to sit in the front because his car seat fits the best in that seat, and he was so excited to be sitting up high like a big boy!
We were so excited that Nikki and Ryan decided to meet us there!
I told all the kids before we got there, that the water was going to be cold and they should only put their feet in. Apparently I lied, because Joli, Cole, and Braden were in the water almost immediately!
Batman isn't a big water guy, so he just kept watch from the top of the mound.

Eventually Markus came down to play in the sand nearby, and just be cute.

Ryan is such a sweet pea!

Cole and Braden had such a great time!

I decided to sport my dino sweatshirt today.

 A little mommy/daughter chat.
Braden decided he was going to catch a seagull and started creeping up on them very slowly, and then just burst into an all out run.

After an hour or so the kids started to get cold, so we headed over to the mound to play in the sand.

My new favorite way to wear children out!

There were a couple moments when I was pretty sure Markus or Braden were going to fall asleep in the sand, this was the first time...

Before we were ready to leave, the kids wanted to run down and touch the water one last time.

Having a good girlfriend is the best!
 Even when you're little!
The kids all had such a blast! They were starting to pick on each other after about four hours, and I knew they were tired, and needed a bath and some dinner, so we headed back to the house. Braden swore he wasn't tired.....
It was such a great day!
