Zoo Day with the Boy

Another week closer to the end of school and less one on one time with Markus. So today we went to one of our favorite places together. We only saw a small part of the zoo before we had to head to swim lessons, but it was wonderful none the less. We chatted with he meerkats.

A quick stop to see the naked mole rats.

 

Then walked over to the McCaws, who were all very interactive.

 There was a wild bunny that was scavenging from the birds leftovers. Markus was fascinated!

 I think we need a bunny...

 I finally convinced Markus to go see something else, and we found some penguins!

 Finally we made it to our goal, the bug house!

 On the way out we stopped to visit the Komodo Dragon. He's a good friend :) 

 Had to grab a stamp on the way out!

It was nice to have some individual attention with him.

Sage's 1st Birthday!

 Today was such a beautiful day celebrating sweet miss Sage's first birthday! She looked so adorable!

 Markus was thrilled to be able to play with Landon today. Those two boys are just peas in a pod!

 Danisa did such a beautiful job decorating! Everything was so cute!

 The kids all had a blast playing together!

 There were so many kids of all ages, crammed in every corner of the yard! It was a blast!

 There were also so many cute babies!

 Tessa and Emmy were there too!

 I was able to get a couple sweet family pictures of Tessa, Jerry, and Emmy.

 Jeanelle brought us a sweet tiny baby to look at too!! He is just so adorable!

 Sage loved being sang to!

 Such a beautiful family!

 The cupcakes were so yummy!

 Markus started to get tired and little more clumsy. He fell off the swing and hit his head. It was a tragic moment for the poor guy.

 After a few more snacks and some drinks, it was time for me to get the kiddos home and rest.

It was such a nice day with friends!
