San Diego Zoo (WARNING: LOTS OF SNAKE PICTURES *Jess*)

We haven't been to the zoo in a while and thought it'd be fun to take the kids, especially at the age Markus is right now. Joli complained at first but then once we got there she was happy. Someday she'll realized how spoiled she is by our zoo! Markus had asked to see snakes when we were at home, so we headed to the reptile house! We definitely got our fill and I'm certain I will be having nightmares tonight!

There was a new reptile area that was specific to frogs, native snakes, and turtles. It was really cool, and I just love how you can see the kids expression in their reflection!

The giant tortoises are always so cool! I just can't believe how big they are!

We were there right around lunch time, so we got to see a bunch of them eating their salad (which made us head to Souplantation right after!).

After the reptiles we went to check out the kids zoo, which meant some playground time.

 Hold on tight Joli!!
This picture would have been awesome without all those stinking people on the bridge. Oh well, still super cute!
 One of the natives....

I just love meerkats, and this lucky zookeeper gets to sit and pet them!!
The was a chance at a little meet a greet with a super cool looking porcupine (not touching though!).

This bird always reminds me of the bird on Harry Potter. So cool looking!
This one had beautiful coloring too.
And one can never get enough of fluffy little baby ducks!
