Yesterday we celebrated St. Patrick's Day. It was a day early, but we had a St. Patrick's Day party so I figured we'd just celebrate then. We had also planned to go to the St. Patrick's Day parade in Balboa park, but we just didn't get out of bed early enough. So we took our time getting dressed up. Joli's hair was fun to do!
I also let her have a little make up on!
Markus didn't have a St. Patrick's Day shirt, so he wore his favorite green shirt.
While Markus was taking a nap, Joli and I did some sorting.
Then we made some fun little party favors to take to the party.
Abby had all kinds of fun green food, including shamrock cookies and green frosting! The kids were very excited!
Poor Sadie just wanted to sleep, but the kids (especially Markus) wanted to play with her so bad.
Shane had some helium and some balloons, but the silly kids kept running outside and letting them go (on purpose!), so he found some washers to attach to them.
Joli had such a great time running and playing with the kids! There must have been twelve of them!!
One of the things they had set up was a wall of balloons to pop with darts. Markus couldn't use the darts, so he found a wine opener and popped a bunch!
Once it got dark, Shane started a fire, and the kids busted out the glow sticks! It was such a great time, we didn't end up coming home until almost 10pm, and then the kids slept in until almost 10am!!! Such a good time!
