San Francisco

Yesterday I wanted to take the kids to see a few things in San Francisco, and since Jess doesn't live too far from there, she met us and hung out with us all morning! We got there really early so we would have lots of time with her! There were a few fun things to see along the way too!

We found a Starbucks next to the coolest park!! I want this park next to our house. It was amazing!!

It was a little chillier than we're used tool. I LOVED it!!

We met Jess over at Fisherman's Wharf, but it was an hour or so before anything opened. Which ended up being really cool because we had the place to ourselves!

We explained to the kids about Alcatraz, and they thought it was really cool.

It was really nice having Jess all to ourselves!

We went down and saw the sea lions, and Markus was thoroughly fascinated.

We decided to walk around some more, and found an empty stage, which the kids immediately put on a show for us.

We wandered through a few shops and found some cool things.

I let the kids each pick a small souvenir.

Then we went into the Fairy Tales store. The kids were both in love. I was sure they were going to break something, but they didn't do too bad.

 Markus said this is Daddy!

 I found a Grammy statue!
I found an awesome hat that I had to have!

We played on the piano stairs for awhile. It was so cool that it actually played!

Our final stop at the wharf was Bubba Gumps! The kids love Forrest Gump, and had the best time seeing all the cool stuff. They also had a hard time determining what was real and what was just part of the movie! It was so cool!

We had an awesome view too!
 They both got souvenir cups.
Joli couldn't wait to get some popcorn shrimp!

It was really fun for them to see everything and remember it.

We said goodbye to Jess and headed out of the city, but not before stopping to take a picture of the Golden Gate Bridge! The kids and talked about it, and now when they see it in pictures or on movies they get so excited!

Joli wanted to take a picture with her Leap pad.

It was really beautiful, and the kids loved playing in the sand, which is so different from our sand at home!
 Then we crossed the bridge!
Finally we went through the rainbow tunnel, and the kids were so pumped! I felt like I was in a scene from "Elf". "Past the swirly twirly gum drops..."
It was a really awesome morning!
