It was obvious pretty early on that we were going to need to go somewhere today after spending the past few days at home. We were headed to the beach when Joe asked if I had the kids life jackets. When I said I did, he headed to his work instead. Who knew that the key to entertaining two children was sending them to work with Daddy?!?!?! Hmmmm, I'll have to remember that one....
We take exercise very seriously in this family!
Once we get the kid's life jackets on, Joe took us all out on the kayaks!! Joli was a bit of a wimp and was stressed about getting splashed or falling out.
Markus thought it was awesome! He wasn't too happy about the underside of the dock being "dirty", I had to explain what barnacles are.
Once we were done with the kayaks, we headed back to the dock to swim. Joe found some goggles for Joli.
Then they both swam around.
Markus needed a little sandwich to keep up his strength.
Joli had no problem swimming with Daddy.
Markus jumped in a few times, but since we can't seem to get him to close his mouth, he wasn't all too thrilled about the taste. It was fun to check out daddy's flippers though.
Once they were done swimming, Joe turned on the warm showers. We have a shower at home that no one will get in. We couldn't keep them out of this one!
Then everyone practiced their pull ups!
We're pretty much raising monkeys!!
Seriously, they're going to work with Daddy!
