A Perfect Beach Day... In February!

Today it was eighty degrees!! The beach was glorious! I can't believe it's February!!

Shane and Abby got a new puppy and she's SO FREAKING CUTE!!!!! We love her!

Batman Vs. The Dance Team

Every week before Joli's dance class, the kids have a little ritual of Markus  "Batman" trying to catch the girls. Sometimes it's fun for everyone. Sometimes it's too loud. Sometimes Batman gets his feelings hurt. It's always funny though!

Lunch and Snow

This morning Joe said he wanted to go play in the snow. I was thinking that it would be like the patch of snow we played in last time. So I packed stuff for hiking. On the way he suggested that we go to Julian for lunch. We went to our favorite place with the delicious burgers! While we waited, Joe drew pictures for the kids.

 Joe's burger was a bison burger with bleu cheese.

 Mine was a bacon cheeseburger, and we both had garlic aioli fries.

 After lunch we went up the mountain to find snow. I was very surprised as it actually snowed last week! We were all surprised by the cold and wind! Joe had to borrow my hat!

 The kids have snow pants, snow gloves, etc. All at home, because I didn't expect REAL snow!!

 They had a great time anyway!

 Joli was very unprepared for the cold, and expressed it.

 Markus kept saying "snow fight!" and throwing hard chunks of snow at me.

 Joe and Joli made snow angels.

 Joe wanted to have a snow fight too, but never hit me :)

 The kids played chase with Joe to try and keep warm.

 Then everyone decided they were too cold to play anymore, and we headed back to the car.

 It was a lot of fun, and we were all tired on the way home!!
