Before school this morning, Joli wanted me to get a picture with her and her doll.
Once we got Joli off to school, Markus and I headed to the zoo to meet Danisa and Landon! Markus got to bring his bike, which he is very happy to pedal by himself! The only problem is that he likes to steer when I'm driving too!
We went to check out the koala exhibit first. They're so cute!
Then we visited the giraffes, which Markus was certain Landon needed to see!
We walked past some flamingos, and they were making LOTS of noise!
Then we played on the koala playground, before deciding it was much too hot!
After we left the "outback", we headed over to the elephants. On the way, we found some sweet meercats!
Markus was all about showing Landon the ropes!
While the boys sat and ate their snack, Markus said "I love him mom!". Such a sweet boy!
They are already such great friends!
The boys played a little together, and then it started to get even hotter, so we kept moving!
We finally made it to the elephants, who were understandably playing in the pond!
The big cats were all hiding in their caves.
Most of the other animals seemed to be delirious and just running into each other!
The turtles are always a big hit!
We had a little company walking out with us too!
It was a great zoo day! I think Landon had a good time seeing the animals, and Markus loved playing with him! It was nice to get a chance to chat with Danisa too! All around good time!
