Summers Past

Today we introduced Markus to Summers Past!! All the kids were very excited to be at the garden! Some of Charlotte's friends from Stroller Strides came out too!
It was so nice to see our friends again! I feel like it's been so long!

Markus slept happily most of the time we were there. I think he loves being outside and around people.

Charlotte missed seeing Joli all the time.

The play house was a big hit today.

I'm so used to holding Markus all the time that I made a mental note to let other people hold him today. I don't think they minded.

Syrus found a fun tree to climb.

Syrus also found a wagon which provided tons of fun.

The bridge and fountain were also a big hit today!

Joli and Syrus played together pretty well today too.

Kacie was happy to hold Markus and we traded kids a few times.

Of course Markus had to have a turn in the wagon.

This little bench was just too cute to pass up.

Charlotte wanted to help take care of Markus too.

She did a great job!

So sweet!

It was a very warm and very fun day!

First Day On My Own!

Today was Joe's first day back at work and my first day alone. It was okay, except that Markus didn't like that there wasn't someone to hold him all day! Luckily Joe wasn't gone the whole day and was around to play with Joli a little in the afternoon. Joe needed to wash his truck and Joli helped him!
She had such a great time! Markus and I sat on the porch and listened to her laugh hysterically as Joe hosed her down!

I've been attempting to have Markus sleep in more stationary locations so he doesn't get used to constantly being in motion. It works some of the time...

Sometimes he's just not too happy! Here is one of the outfits that Joe bought for him while I was pregnant.

After Joe and Joli were done playing, I took her and Markus for a walk to the store. Joli insisted on wearing her princess dress!

When we got home Joli wanted to help me make dinner. She did a great job!

We made a few too many noodles and Joe thought it was funny to put them all on Joli's plate. She kept saying "I have to eat all of this?", Joe and I were just laughing! I made jokes about Big Anthony from the book Strega Nona!

Hopefully there will be more successful days like today!

Underwater Party

I've been making it a point to take pictures of the outfits Markus has been wearing because it's only a matter of time before they don't fit anymore. I just love this little t-shirt!
This afternoon was our friend, Skylar's birthday party. Joli was so excited!

Joli was okay with watching the others play in the water. It wasn't really too warm out.

She was pretty upset when she got splashed.

Then some special guests arrived and Joli was SOOOOOOO excited!!

The birthday girl was pleased that the princess' were there but I think Joli was the only one that spent almost the entire time with them!

The princess' told their stories and Joli and some of the other girls helped them!

We couldn't leave until the cake was served. Joli was asking about it all morning!
