Just Livin'

We've actually been spending a fair amount of time at home, and it's been really nice. The kids have been learning to play together.
And share Daddy's attention. On Monday we went over to Shane and Abby's for a little play date. The kids hadn't seen each other in like two weeks! They were thrilled!

Abby was mulching her garden and Markus was all about helping!

On Wednesday we met Kacie, her cousin, Kelly, and Charlotte at Old Town. I decided it was a good opportunity to give Joli an impromptu history lesson. She actually had a lot of fun learning about Old Town and what things were like almost 200 years ago. She liked the museums, the courthouse was her favorite. We walked past a little jail cell and I said "look that's the bench where they sit and wait, and she said "for room service?", um no. Joli also liked the covered wagons!

Fountains are always a hit, especially if you have a purse full of pennies!

Markus was a little tired and just watched for awhile.

Joli remembered the time we came and watched the dancers, and did her best to imitate them. She even got Kelly up there!

Markus was all about playing when we went into the toy store! He loved the train table!

He and Charlotte had a great time!

Joe has been working on bringing home and going through ALL his work stuff. Markus has had a great time helping him!

This picture is out of order, but Markus loved the hoops at the toy store!

Today the kids and I rented a U-Haul to get a bunch of outdoor furniture from Robyn (pictures to come). Joli thought it was the coolest thing she's ever done. She kept squealing and saying "look how high we are!". When it was time to return the truck she said "can't we just trade them for our car?". Again, no.

This evening we played in the backyard for a while before dinner. The kids just love the slide.

Markus is just about to walk. He takes a few steps and then sits down. The most he's taken is four.

Joe and Joli decided to play a jumping game together.

Then chase each other around the yard.

For dinner we had sloppy Joe's and it was a HUGE hit with every one!
