Santa Monica Pier

Yesterday we went on a little adventure to Santa Monica Pier! I had never been before, and I figured it was on a list of places we needed to go! The kids pretty much thought it was just another beach, but they were excited to check out the pier part. They looked so cute as little dinosaurs.
We headed to the merry go-round first.
They wanted a picture together next to the aquarium wall.
It was quite warm inside, but they had fun!

Then we started walking down the pier.

My mom and brother, Dylan, brought Nacho down and met us! It was so nice to see them!
The kids love the movie Forrest Gump, so we went into the shop at Bubba Gumps, and I got them both t-shirts. We didn't eat there though because the wait was huge! Mom got us some Pier Burger and we ate on the beach instead!
The kids decided they wanted to make funny faces, this one is hilarious!

Then Joli showed us some of her gymnastics skills.
We walked down Venice beach and played on all the really cool things they had for kids and adults!!

I love that they have things for even the littlest of kids!

 Joli's such a little gymnast!
Markus had to try it too.
Uncle Dylan and Joli wants to try the rope climb!

But Joli got tired of waiting, so she climbed the pole instead!
There were tight ropes all over with people walking on them. It was so fun to watch!
Mom held on to Nacho while Dylan tried out some of the different things.
Markus and I watched the adults swing from the rings. I swear they looked just like Spiderman!
Joli gave it her best shot.

Dylan made it pretty far too.
Then he climbed the rope again.

Markus thought he was going to climb the rope. He didn't make it far...
Nacho got tired of being walked, and decided he was going to walk himself.
The pier was really pretty with the sun going down behind it.
The kids played in the sand like they've never been in sand before.
Once they were exhausted, we headed through the tunnel under the pier and back to our car.
