Apple Picking

Today we met Chris and Kacie to go apple picking! We were smart this time and brought the wagon! Markus thought it was great!
Joli was feeling a little under the weather, but she was still really excited!

I told Markus to look at the camera... what a stinker!

This was the first time that Joe has EVER gone apple picking with us, and it's also the first fall that he's been home since we had Joli!!

It was so pleasant!

Pretty soon Chris and Kacie arrived. Joli was thrilled to see Charlotte! She loves helping her with things.

Markus was excited too!

When we got him out of the wagon he just about said "LOOK AT THESE APPLES!!!".

We had to really work on either eating the ones out of the tree or the bag, but not off the ground.

He really liked picking them too!

He put some in the bag.

"How can I bring all of these?!?!"

Joli was impressed with what daddy's knife could do.

Then Markus decided he wanted to pull the apples.

Joe and Chris tried to see if they had enough muscles to crush apples. I was surprised to see them do it!

It was fun to pick with Markus.

Until he started throwing them!

Such good friends.

Markus was pretty upset that I wouldn't let him eat the ones off the ground.

Markus likes to share with daddy.

I'm not sure what was happening here?

Then I was informed that I couldn't pick anymore as I was filling the wagon, so we started heading back.

With a few to eat.

We decided to go have a nice, quiet, relaxing lunch.

But they wouldn't let us leave the little ones at the orchard. So we had a yummy, loud lunch instead!

It was still pleasant!

Last ditch effort to savor our meal...

We came home with a few apples...

Such a great day!
