Up, Up, and Away!!

Beginning at 8:30 this morning, Joli was asking when we were going to leave to go to Uncle Sam and Ashley's. Every time I finished a task she'd ask me if I was ready yet. So two and a half hours later when I was finally ready, I was about to boot her out the door! Part of the reason she was so excited, was because it was her first time going on an airplane that she can remember (she flew once at two months, and once at eighteen months). When we went to get our boarding passes she couldn't understand why it had to take so long. Going through security she didn't understand why we had to do so much. "Can't we just go to our airplane now?", she kept asking. Then we got to our terminal over an hour before our flight was supposed to leave. Fortunately she was hungry and I distracted her with the lunch I packed. Then she wanted to know why the airplane wasn't there yet. Right about that time, a family walked by that had two little girls, a three year old and a five year old. It was perfect! The girls played together while we waited for our flight, and then sat behind us on the plane! Joli was so excited once we were on the plane!!
Since it was now over two hours past Markus' nap time, he slept through the boarding process. And right as I was thinking how great it was going to be having Markus sleep most of the flight, his little head popped up and started checking things out.
Joli was telling him all about the take off that he missed.
I did my best to show my brave face. (I absolutely hate flying).
The rest of flight went fairly well. Joli started to get restless near the end and Markus couldn't understand why I wouldn't just put him down and let him check every thing out. I was very happy that there was a nice young lady sitting next to us, that didn't mind having her textbook pulled off her lap every now and again. Finally we landed and made it out of the terminal to a very happy little girl!! Joli and Berkley were all smiles when they saw each other.
After a little adventure of getting every one and every thing put in the truck, we were finally on our way. Joli thought it was so fun sitting between the babies, and they just loved smiling and laughing at her!
Uncle Sam was waiting for us when we got back to the house and couldn't wait to get his hands on every one! Markus thinks the hair on his face is so interesting!
These two are going to be crazy this summer!!
As usual, Joli can entertain herself with just about any age toy.
Berkley is going to be walking anytime!
Not too long after we got here Joe was on Skype. The first time Berkley saw Joe on the computer she freaked out, but tonight she actually started blowing him kisses after awhile!
Joli just loves all of Berkley's toys. She can't wait for her to be big enough to play with!
Ashley made spaghetti for dinner which meant baths for the messy babes. They had such a great time splashing ALL over!
Now that Markus has finally figured out crawling he wants to do it all the time. The only problem is that it's too cold to not have pants on him, but he slides all over hardwood floors! I guess he'll figure it out eventually.
Once Berkley went to bed, the kids got to have some fun male bonding time with Uncle Sam. They loved it!

More great pictures to come!!

Find some small socks with skid resistant bottoms, cut out the toes, slip them over Markus's pants with the rubber skid pattern over the knees, and he won't slip on the hardwood floors.
