A Warm Evening

After coming home from the beach, the kids and I played on the porch while I unloaded our stuff. Markus loves the swing!

"Where's Joli?"

Then there was a bath to wash all the sand off.

Afterwards Joli gave a riveting performance in the front yard.

Markus was happy just to watch her.

Brody was just itching to get through the screen and be petted.

Markus was just interested in what Brody was doing.

I went outside to set the table and Markus realized he could see me through the window.

Then it was time to eat!

Markus was so funny at dinner!

He kept holding out his hand like he wanted to shake, so we would take it and said "nice to meet you". He thought it was hilarious!

Since it was so warm today, Markus was dressed cooler jammies.

Joe's mom found this tea cozy for me today and Joli thought it made a cool hat.

Another beautiful day in San Diego!!

I Could Stay Here Forever

Today we met our friends for a gorgeous day at the beach! Charlotte was so happy to see Markus! Joli took off for the water before I was even out of the car!

Markus wanted to be a big boy and climb the hill.

William was excited to get some sun.

I took Markus down to check out the water.

He wasn't too sure when a wave came up and got him wet.

But then he was so excited and started trucking towards the waves!

It wasn't super cold, but not totally warm either, so he didn't last too long.

Then he just wanted me to pick him up.

So sad.

Joli had so much fun playing in the water, the sand, and with the other kids! I think the beach might be her favorite place to be.

We brought our stuff down to set up near the water and Markus got a ride.

He was a little unsure about the hill.

He certainly likes playing with the wagon though.

Joli went back and forth between hot and cold.

Markus loves auntie Abby.

It was so nice to relax and sunbathe a little.

Markus discovered how to get in and out of Abby's chair.

This picture would have been just perfect without the strange woman in the background.

The kids had a great time looking at all the tiny clams.

Markus decided to sample them.

Then he started to get tired.

So he went up to snuggle and take a nap.

Joli and Syrus finally decided to brave the water.

They had such a great time!

We were all packed up to go, but I just hated to pull Joli away while she was having such a great time.

Besides the sunburn, it was a perfect day!
