Today we woke up and started getting the house ready for Joli's birthday party!
It was a rainy day so I spent most of it trying to keep the kids occupied. Markus had his moments, but I did my best.
Markus picked the Christmas activity for the day and got "Candy Cane Ice Cream". He was pretty excited about it!
So was Joli!
It's just vanilla frozen yogurt with crushed candy cane on it, but it's quite yummy!
The dogs hung out with us for quite awhile since it was cold and rainy. We tried to take them for a walk when there was a break in the rain, but we only made it two blocks before it started pouring and everyone was whining!
It was almost time for the party and Markus was sort of losing his mind, so I busted out Joey. He played for quite awhile!
Once Joli's friends arrived I let Markus make his pizza.
Joli couldn't wait to open her presents. She LOVED her present from GG and Grandpa Pat! I can't wait for her to learn how to play it!
She also loved the painting that Auntie E made for her!
Joli did such a great job reading all the notes that everyone sent!
She was so excited for the cheer costume Auntie Jess got for her American Girl Doll.
She even read the note from Grandma Lori and Papa Paul!
She loved the Fancy Nancy kit!
I was just trying to keep Markus out of the girl's hair, and he's been so in love with "How the Grinch Stole Christmas", he was perfectly happy watching that!
The girls were loving playing in Joli's room!
And also playing at the table!
The girls enjoyed making their pizzas too!
Markus loves playing with playdoh so much, and since Joli's friend wanted to play, he was all in!
Joli's present from us was Twister and it was a huge hit!
Since the girls were already over here, I offered for their little brother to come over too so their mom and dad could have a date. The boys had a great time eating pizza together!
Then it was time for cake! I didn't want to have another cake, so I made a cheesecake instead! So yummy!
Finally I got the girls all set up with their bed in the living room, and put on the new movie Joli got for her birthday.
The boys were pretty happy to watch too!
The kids watched and played and giggled until about 9pm, when the littlest boy went home, and Markus went to bed. Then the girls settled in to watch a bigger kid movie, and fell asleep shortly after it began! It was a very fun night!
