Joli had swim lessons today. We got there a little early and hung out in the car.

Playground Break
Sometimes when you have a list of errands to run it's important for every one if you take a break. Today we took ours at a beautiful playground that we pass often but rarely stop.
I'm fairly certain Joli was using her new phrase "Please mama, please" to beg for something she didn't need.

I'm just realizing that most of the pictures of have are of Joli going the other direction. I'll have to remember that.
Half of the playground is for much older children. I think the school across the street uses it at recess. Doesn't mean my child won't try to use it anyway.
The last time we were here was about six months ago and Joli went up two steps and freaked out. This time she climbed all the way to the top!
As usual Joli made a new friend. I thought it was cute how they were dressed in opposites.
I had pretty much pegged them for about the same age until we were walking to the swings with the little girl and her mother and she mentioned being four and a half. Proud momma right here!

My New Table!!!
One of my mommy friends was selling her table and I've been looking for an extra table for awhile so Joe and I went and picked it up today!!
I'm so excited! Since the new table fit better in the kitchen we put the other table on the porch and now we can eat outside!! Joli's already planning a tea party!

Apple Picking
Today we made the drive up to Julian to do some wonderful "Fall" apple picking. It was only around 100 degrees down here, so you know, nice crisp day. Joli thought she would be helpful as Abby was trying to get the kids out of the car, by going through her car. Nice lipstick Joli.
I tried to distract her by letting her use the camera. She's learning.

When we came into the orchard there was one of the sweetest puppies I have ever seen!
Apparently she's a little Jack Russell. We weren't supposed to pick her up because she's going to be a hunting dog. She doesn't really agree with this plan.
I just wanted to scoop her up and put her in my pocket!! She only comes up to Joli's knee! Joli's only 36 inches tall!!
Eventually we stopped playing with the puppy and actually went to pick apples. Apple season wasn't very good for any of the orchards in the area but we still managed to find some tasty ones.
We had a hard time explaining to the kids that they couldn't eat the ones on the ground. What's the big deal with a few holes?
I think Joli ate more than she picked. Well actually she took a bite and then tossed it for another!
Here is one of Joli's that she discarded. We were trying to explain to Syrus that the fence was pokey and he could get hurt, so Joli fixed it.
Near the entrance there was an apple press to make apple cidar and Abby's friend, Soloman, wanted to give it a shot. It was really interesting but I think I'm going to stick with buying it in the store!! It was a lot of work!

Dear Starbucks
You should know that your Java Chip Frappacino is delicious! I love it! Very much! Just one of these drinks and I am a maniac for most of the day. However, I do think you should consult with your individual store owners on the process of making this fabulous drink. On Saturday I bought one and it was glorious. The perfect amount of well, everything! Sunday I bought another one, and while it tasted very much the same it was not nearly as thick and, just not the same. Today I thought I would easily make it through a three hour drive after gymnastics without one. I made it an hour. Once again I got another one. This one was NOT as good. It had all the right ingredients, however the person that made it put entirely too much ice in it and it took an hour and a half to drink it because I had to wait for it to melt! So please dear Starbucks, have a meeting, demonstrate the process for all your workers, so I that I may enjoy a close to orgasmic experience whenever I pass your beautiful sign! Thank you.

My Feet Hurt
Who has read the book "If You Give A Mouse A Cookie"? Raise you hand! Well this story is called "If You Give A Lisa A Car".
If you give a Lisa a car then she'll want to keep it cleaned out. And if she cleans it out then she'll want to vacuum it. And if she vacuums it then she'll want the clean it with Armor All and window cleaner. And if she cleans it with Armor All and window cleaner then she'll want to wash the outside. While she's washing the outside she'll notice that the grass needs cut, so she'll get out the lawn mower and cut the grass. Once she's cut the grass she'll realize she needs to trim the edges too, so she'll go get the trimmer and trim the edges. While she's trimming the edges she'll notice that the bushes need pruned, so she'll get the clippers and prune the bushes. Since she cut the grass and trimmed the edges and pruned the bushes there will be clippings all over the driveway so she'll have to sweep the entire driveway and the side of the house.
When she goes to put the trimmer and the lawn mower away she'll walk past the backyard and see that it could also be mowed and trimmed. So she'll do that too. And while she's out there she should water the lawn and the garden, so she'll do that too.

When she comes inside to take a shower, she'll notice that the kitchen is a disaster.
