Happy Napless Afternoon

One of the guys had a BBQ this afternoon that started right about the time Joli would have been going down for a nap. So instead of giving her a nap first we thought maybe she would sleep during the 45 minute drive there. She fell asleep right as we got off the exit. Here she is before we left, already starting to get sleepy.
Before we left I told Joli that we were going to play with Isabella. When I went to get her out of the car she immediately woke up and said "Cinderella, oh my gosh!". I'm not sure why, but she called her that the whole day. Isabella is about seven months younger than Joli, but they are about the same size and love to play together. Sadly for Joli, Isabella was asleep when we got there, but Joli kept herself occupied.
This sink was such a huge hit, the girls played in it for hours until the sun started to move down in the sky and they were all wet. It was so cool, it had pump in it so once you fill it up then it just kept recycling the water.
These power wheels are so cool, you just push a button and the thing takes off. Unfortunately after Joli ran into things three or four times she refused to push the button anymore.
There was also jumpy just the right size for the kids and they loved it! They jumped and jumped until someone hit someone else or fell out.
Once we finished our hamburgers and hot dogs, we moved on to cupcakes. Joli thought this was a great idea.
Once the sun started going down and Joli had still not had a nap, the three little girls decided to watch a movie. What better way to entertain little girls than fruit snacks and a Disney movie!
The movie didn't last very long though and the girls went out to play "Ring around the rosie" on top of the deflated jumpy.
Joe and I had a great time hanging out with friends again and especially each other.
As we got closer to bedtime we put all the girls in the bathtub and then got them into pj's for a movie.
After an entire day without a nap Joli was completely wiped out and not very thrilled having more pictures taken.
Now we are home and all in bed... together... in the big bed. Joli was not all to thrilled about sleeping in her own bed and after a lot of screaming we decided she might just sleep better with us.

Sometimes you just want to spend the dark with people you love.
Lots of adorable photos!
You never called me back - but sounds like you had too much fun and a grumpy little girl. I'll talk to you tomorrow..er, well, later today.
Photos of all OUR fun up on my blog.
