Family Christmas

Today Aunt Peg and Uncle Doug's family had their family Christmas and they were wonderful and invited us to join them. Joli dressed for the occasion.
Aunt Peg even had stockings and gifts for us!!!

Markus loves his toothbrush. It might be his new favorite toy.
Joli and Caden got a "Santa STOP Here" sign and Joli took hers outside to put up for Santa.
Joli and Markus also got some Christmas window clings in their stockings and Joli immediately decorated the windows.

The grown ups opened their present while the kids took a nap (all of them but my two, of course!). Jorie slept on the floor in the living room with us for a little while.
Joli watched a movie in the bedroom, but Markus hung out with us in the living room.
He was very intent on getting my camera.
And very upset that I wouldn't let him have it.
He settled for brushing Rex' teeth.
"Now listen, you have to get your teeth brushed."
"Open wide..."
Once the kids were up from their naps it was time for all the kids to open their presents. Joli waited patiently for everyone to get settled.

She posed with her brother for a moment just to please her mama.
Markus had completely soaked his other outfit, so we put on something for festive.
Then the kids dug in. Markus opened his daddy pillow first. He rubbed Joe's face and held his pillow for a long time before he got tired and went to sleep.
Joli opened her present from Markus and was beyond excited.
Then Joli opened a few more presents from Aunt Peg and Uncle Doug, while I opened the rest of Markus' as he slept on the floor. It was so fun to be included in their family Christmas and so wonderful seeing everyone!! Thank you Aunt Peg and Uncle Doug!
After we opened presents we had to rush off to Papa Paul and Grandma Lori's Christmas play. Markus thought it was very intriguing.
Joli was mesmerized seeing her Papa Paul and Grandma on stage.
My dad played an excellent goat herder :)
Lori was a member of the press and fit her roll perfectly!
My dad also played the part of one of "the three wise guys", he was hilarious!

It was such a cute play and we had so much fun watching! Markus was exhausted and fell asleep on the way to Papa Paul and Grandma Lori's.
We were so very excited to see Auntie Holly!! She came home from college for the holidays yesterday! Joli and Markus loved right up to her! Now back to bed!

Hello dear ones: What a fun time you are having! You've been on my mind every day since you left. It is very WET here, raining all day and probably for the next two also. L, you are looking good with those new threads! Say hi to all that dear family for us. Hug the kids for me. Can't believe how big Markus is getting. Love to all, Grandma Donna
