Joli's been up and down the past week. She had a fever last Tuesday and then was fine for a couple days. Then she started coughing on Friday, followed by a runny nose on Sunday. Then there was another low fever on Monday. Now there's just the runny nose and cough. So I've been trying to let her relax a little and hopefully move past the cold, but after being in the house all day, she wanted to go out in the sunshine for a little bit. So I told her that if she got completely bundled she could.
She had fun being out in some nice weather.
Carmel came out to join her for a run on the deck. Then they checked out the view.
Carmel just loves to give kisses! She makes us miss our Brody dog!
After about twenty minutes Joli started coughing again and I made her come back inside. Before too long Markus was up from his nap. I'm hoping to be able to play in the snow while we're traveling, but we don't really use a lot of snow gear in San Diego. These are the snow bibs that Joli has been wearing since she was one year old.
There's some room for growing. Abby gave us this warm, cozy sweatshirt. Maybe this will keep Markus warm in the snow.
The rest of the day was spent lounging around and trying to get the girl healthy. We watched "Singing in the Rain", and Joli danced around the kitchen for awhile.
Markus played on the floor by my feet.
Hopefully Joli will start to feel better soon.
