Sunday morning, the 30th, we got all packed up and headed over to Kacie's friend, Amy's house to swim with them in their pool. She and her husband have five kids, so there were NINE children altogether! At least there were five of us adults, and their oldest daughter is a preteen and still willing to help with the younger kids. It was wild, but incredibly fun! Markus still can't swim, and only wore floaties for about five minutes, so I had to stay with him most of he time. He just loved all the giant pool floats though!
Joli is only two months younger than Maggie, and they were instant friends. Rosie is in between Joli and Markus, so she actually played well with both of them!
Once Chris arrived there were now NINE children lobbying for his attention! Oh, to be a wanted man :)
Caroline has decided that she will be the one to cause all her mommy's gray hairs. She wanted to be in the water most of the time, and I took her whenever I wasn't with Markus, but the girl has no fear and would just jump right in if we weren't looking!
Markus decided the yellow flower was the safest place to be, and ran and jumped on it, completely disregarding the fact that it was in the deep part of the pool! He is the cause for MY gray hairs!
Here is a nice picture of Kacie with all her children...
Of course Markus was not simply satisfied with just the pool, he need to know the inter workings of everything around it as well.
After several hours we were all wiped, and figured the kids would have a good rest during the hour or so it would take us to get to Chris and Kacie's house in Vermont. Here is one of the first views of Vermont. It is very beautiful!
The kids didn't see the views....
Once we got to the house it was pouring, so we all raced inside, where the kids set to work exploring every square inch!
"Cheese"
We made it downstairs where there's an awesome playroom, and a bed for us!
Markus has always been in love with this vacuum. It was so funny to see him obsessed with it again.
Kacie left us a lovely note on the chalkboard wall, and Joli set to work writing "I love you", not too long after we got there.
We were starting to get hungry, and headed upstairs to start dinner.
Markus was all about helping Chris with the grilling...
Joli can never manage to keep out of the dress up area, and was quick to start trying things on. Of course everything was entirely too small, but she didn't care.
Another great day!
