Turtle Bay

I was super excited to try out my new shirt today. I love it!!
Even though it is hot beyond what should be natural, we decided to go to Turtle Bay, because they have a lot of indoor (air-conditioned) stuff, as well as outdoor stuff. Bailor got to go for her first ride in the Ergo on Sam's back!
We had to walk a little bit to get to the animals, and the little ones did not think it was that great.
Joli is such a little diva!

Markus loved this "Batman" sign! He said "It says 'We love you Batman'" :)
There was a really cool barn with all kinds of things for the kids to play with and reptiles to see.
We tried to explain the concept of a puppet show to Markus, but he kept opening the curtain and saying "presenting Markus!".

Being inside gave Bailor a chance to crawl around a little.

There were some cool water features outside, but it was just too unbearable to be out there. So we checked them out for a minute before heading inside.

There was a ton of really cool things to see inside, that explained the natural wildlife and plants in the area.

There was a Lego exhibit going on that was so amazing!

This one reminded me of Joe for some reason....
There was a cool truck for Markus to pretend to drive, and he was all about it!

Then we went over to build with blocks, and check out the tower that someone had left (that I sat next to and knocked over)...

Under the fake tree there was a Plexiglas floor that had really tree roots, and the big Lego tarantula!
Markus thought it was really cool!
They thought it was so silly to be on opposite sides of the water feature.
Then it was time to walk over to feed the birds on the other side of the park. They had umbrellas that we could borrow to walk over there, and the kids were all about it!

Before too long, it was too much for Markus to walk and hold the umbrella at the same time. So we both got shade.

Then we fed the birds. Markus was a little nervous, and then he got the food in his hand and they flocked! It would have been a big deal except one bird was biting his neck, which he was NOT cool with.
Joli absolutely loved it and was sad when it was time to go.

On the way back, Berkley got a ride on Ashley! She thought it was pretty cool.
I told her she looked like a baby Koala!
It was a hot, but very great time!
