Saturday morning the 29th I woke up at 4:30a.m. You would think that the time change would make me sleep late... nope! So I took a shower, did my hair, drank lots of coffee, and played with a silly little girl that also likes to get up early! Eventually everyone else made it out of bed and we started our day! My first order of business was to take the crazy boy out to burn some energy. We headed down to check out the pond in the backyard.
Once we had all the kids wrangled, we headed to the park in Saratoga for a picnic! Kacie made us a lovely lunch!!
After we all finished eating, Chris convinced the kids they should race. It was fantastic!
Then it was time to check out the ducks! I was almost completely certain that Markus was going to end up in the pond at some point, but amazingly he just watched the ducks.
The girls were all so cute and cuddly. They missed each other so much! Caroline was so little the last time we saw her, but it was like she knew us and loved us immediately.
Markus was beyond thrilled the have a man to hang out with, and I don't think Chris minded too much either.
Caroline is absolutely adorable, and crazy, and silly. She's just like Markus was two summers ago!
Yeah, then Markus not only chased the ducks back to the pond, but KICKED a duck! He's such a turd sometimes...
Chris was very popular most of the day (honestly the whole week). He must have an idea of what it's like to be a rock star :D
Joli and Charlotte were super happy to be back together again.
It was so nice to be with our friends again. It was like there had only been a day, not a year, since we'd last seen each other! We were a great big family again!!
Once the kids began throwing things into the pond (and at the ducks), we walked over to the carousel.
After we rode the carousel twice, we decided to get some ice cream.
This one cracks me up!
It started raining the minute we bought our ice cream, and we ran to the gazebo to enjoy it.
After we used almost an entire package of wipes cleaning off the children, we headed back to the house! They were all ready to pass out...
